Maximum three dogs per hike. Boots, layers and a flask recommended — we provide the route, the local knowledge, and the steady hand on the day.

Sunday Social Hike

Sundays · Glendalough·approx. 2–3 hrs·Easy

A relaxed group walk around the Lower Lake for owners and dogs to meet. Steady pace, plenty of stops, a chance to build the early Hounds & Hills community.

Glendalough Ridge Walk

Monthly · Half day·approx. 3–4 hrs·Moderate

The Spinc boardwalk and Upper Lake loop, taking in the panoramic views above the glacial valley. For confident dogs and walkers comfortable on hills.

Beginner Trail Walk

Saturdays · Wicklow·approx. 2 hrs·Easy

Gentle, low-elevation terrain for younger dogs, recent rescues and first-time hill walkers. We focus on lead manners, recall and calm group dynamics.

Autumn Woodland Walk

Seasonal · Wicklow oaks·approx. 2–3 hrs·Easy

Quiet woodland routes through native oak — scent work, slow exploration, and the particular hush of an Irish autumn morning.

Spaces on community walks are limited and offered first-come. Reserve a place through the contact form, by WhatsApp, or book a quick meet & greet first if you'd like to chat in person.

What to expect

A proper day, properly led.

  • Short pre-hike chat by phone or message
  • Trailhead briefing — safety, terrain, signals
  • Guided walk at a measured, conversational pace
  • Photographs from the route, sent the same evening
  • Tea or coffee at a local stop on the way home
